The summer in Rome was everything I had hoped for and more. The house on the hill with the beautiful Lap pool below San Giovanni Monastery was the perfect setting for my discovery. Olga, the woman I fell in love with, was beautiful and passionate.
The sun shone brightly every day and the afternoon pool leaves were a welcome respite from the day's heat. But all too soon, it was time to leave and return to the home. The shadows of memories are all that remain now of that beautiful summer.
Will they fade over time? Or will the Summer in Rome always be a distant memory?
